We all have those cringe-worthy home videos and stories that friends and family like to revisit at the worst possible moments, but my now-embarrassing moment sparked a passion that paved my career path.

At age 10, I reenacted red carpet interviews and reported live from my home's "anchor desk" on the latest news. When AOL hit, I created a weekly music digest and produced an alternative 'zine littered with tildes and flashing graphics. This is when I became obsessed with creating and sharing content I knew readers wanted.

I have now worked in the digital media industry for almost 10 years, getting my start at one of the leading companies in lifestyle entertainment. I have experience creating and editing original, SEO-driven content, working with ad sales on sponsor-integrated digital series and managing a team of writers as the editor-in-chief of HGTV.com's blog. Currently, I manage commerce strategy and content for HGTV.com and TravelChannel.com.
